How the index is composed
BIST Participation Sustainability consists of the shares that are in both BIST Participation All Shares and the BIST Sustainability index (Ground Rules, October 2026, sections 3.16 and 6.10). The BIST Sustainability index consists of the shares of companies that take part in the sustainability assessment voluntarily and have at least the minimum sustainability score set for it (section 3.10).
Next period
The next period starts on May 1, 2027. Borsa Istanbul is expected to announce the new list by April 29, 2027 at the latest (Ground Rules 2.17).
Because the index holds the shares that are on both lists, it can also change when the BIST Sustainability index changes. The BIST Sustainability index periods start in January, April, July and October (Ground Rules 2.17).
