Borsa Istanbul company measurementsStatus: Available now

Three ratios per company, each with its source page

Sağlama recalculates three participation finance ratios for the companies in Borsa Istanbul's participation index, from each company's own financial statements and notes. Participation finance is Türkiye's term for Islamic finance. Each ratio is shown with the page the amount comes from, the calculation date and the method version. You reach the document itself in one click.

Measurements are published for 180 of the 238 companies on the official list. List dated Oct 1, 2026.

Measurement records arranged by date. The front record shows three ratio bars and the mark of a stamp.

The gap between the official list and the quarterly statements

The official participation list is updated at the start of each period, while companies' financial statements change every quarter. Between two lists, your compliance unit or advisory committee wants to see a share's ratios with their documents.

The official list is the reference. Between lists, Sağlama shows how the ratios are calculated and where the figures come from.

What we measure

Three ratios are calculated for each company.

  • Interest-bearing loans

Borrowing that carries interest, as a share of total assets.

    TKBB threshold
    33%
    AAOIFI threshold
    30%
  • Interest-bearing cash and securities

Deposits and securities that earn interest, as a share of total assets.

    TKBB threshold
    33%
    AAOIFI threshold
    30%
  • Excluded income

Income that is not in line with participation finance principles, such as interest income, as a share of total income.

    TKBB threshold
    5%
    AAOIFI threshold
    5%

The thresholds come from the Equity Standard of TKBB, the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye. The thresholds of AAOIFI (the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) are shown next to them for comparison; AAOIFI divides the debt and cash ratios by market value. Sağlama does not yet publish an AAOIFI result for Borsa Istanbul companies; the method page explains why.

If the statements do not separate an item clearly, the measurement is given as a range. The lower bound is the amount the documents prove. The upper bound also counts the items that cannot be proven. If the threshold falls inside this range, the result depends on the participation finance information form the company publishes on KAP, Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform, and the record says so plainly.

Records are never deleted

  1. Each period record is kept with the data known on that day.

  2. When a measurement is corrected, a new record is added.

  3. The earlier record stays in place. The correction can be read with its reason and date.

How to check a figure

The numerator and denominator of each ratio are shown separately. Next to each amount is a link to the page of the company's own report where the amount appears. Opening the link takes you to the document itself. The calculation date and method version are written in every record.
